Historical Note

Josip Jelačić (1801–1859) was a Croatian military leader appointed Ban of Croatia in 1848. A prominent figure in Croatia’s nineteenth-century national movement, he supported Croatian political autonomy and confirmed the abolition of feudal labour obligations in 1848.

This design reinterprets his historic portrait through bold colour and pop art repetition, bringing Croatian heritage into Lincoln Crescent’s streetwear collection.
