Rooted in old Slavic mythology and reimagined through a folk-art lens, the Mokoš (Mokosh) Goddess T-Shirt brings heritage, symbolism and streetwear together.

The front artwork centres on Mokoš, surrounded by flowers, grain, birds and ornamental foliage. Inspired by the decorative language of traditional Slavic folk art, the design transforms an ancient figure into a bold contemporary graphic.

Printed on a heavyweight 230 GSM vintage-wash cotton T-shirt, the soft, faded finish gives the artwork an aged, lived-in character that complements the traditional imagery.

A piece of old-world symbolism reimagined for the street.

Care

To preserve the garment and printed artwork:

  • Wash inside out

  • Cold wash with similar colours

  • Use a gentle cycle

  • Do not bleach

  • Do not dry-clean

  • Do not iron directly over the artwork

  • Air-dry where possible, or tumble-dry on low

Natural variation and gradual fading are part of the vintage-wash character of the garment.

Heritage Note

Mokoš (Mokosh) is a goddess recorded in early Slavic tradition and is notable as the female deity named among the gods of the medieval Kyivan pantheon. Her precise role in pre-Christian belief is not completely preserved, and many meanings associated with her today have been reconstructed through language, folklore and later tradition.

She has commonly been connected with earth, moisture and fertility, while later traditions and interpretations also associate her with women, textile work and the cycles of everyday life.

This artwork does not attempt to recreate a single historical depiction of Mokoš. Instead, it draws from the broader visual language of Slavic folk culture, floral ornament, grain, birds and decorative pattern, to create a contemporary interpretation of an ancient figure.

Old symbols. New form. Heritage carried forward.
